The gold panning technique with the gold pan is learned, and to practice, gold-bearing sand is washed out in our practice river/troughs under instruction and constant help from the course instructor until only the gold remains in the pan.
In the second section, catching and transporting gold into a gold tube with a pipette is practiced.
